Yes, of course. We have over 50 flexible home plans for you to draw inspiration from. However, if these new home plans are not suitable, we also work closely with our design and engineering partner - DesignBase, whom are able to provide one-to-one professional design advice ensuring your family’s personality and lifestyle blends comfortably with the unique character of your new home. I want to build on a remote site which is rather difficult to get to. Will this be a problem?
Absolutely not. We want to build where the climate can be extreme, some home building companies homes are not suitable. What would suit these extreme climates?
McRaeway Homes have built from Northland to Bluff, on outlying islands, coastal sites and mountainous high country and with almost 50 years of building experience they understand climate extremes and will design your house accordingly. Every standard McRaeway Home is designed to meet a “High Wind” zone and 1.2kpa snow loading. However, some areas exceed these zones and are outside building code standards, in which case their engineers will prepare bracing/insulation systems specific to the site at the time of quoting, ready for council approval. 2. Select and request a quotation for one of many or individually enhanced McRaeway Homes plans, after McRaeway Homes or your builder has confirmed it can be accommodated on your site.
3. Agree to employ a specialist McRaeway Homes Licensed Builder (or any Registered Master or Certified Builder to erect your home, and obtain a price for construction.

How much do I pay for the deposit?
To confirm the order, 15% of the home package value is required. This will activate production and securing a dispatch date. After your deposit is received operations personnel will then prepare the documentation for the production of your home package.

I live in a remote rural location and not always able to come into town. Is it any hassle for you to come to me?
Absolutely not. In most cases we can arrange for a home visit (South Island). This is part of the McRaeway Homes service.

Can we use our own builder?
Yes you can, although we do recommend that you engage the services of a McRaeway Homes Licensed Network Builder, wherever possible, or a Registered Master Builder or Certified Builder of your choice.
A McRaeway Licensed Network Builder will give you the additional security, support and assurance during the construction of your home. And, each Licensed Network Builder has a proven record of high workmanship and ethics, ensuring your home will be built on time, within budget and with best practice.
